 Lindos, is
the main tourist destination on the island. The village is famous for its Acropolis with
the castle of the Knights, the traditional architecture of the houses, the narrow alleys,
the beautiful sandy beach and the very active nightlife. Lindos was famous in ancient
times for its naval force. Today the 700 inhabitants make their living almost exclusively
from tourism. From here you can easily reach the southwest part of Rhodes with the
picturesque villages and fabulous beaches.
Lindos can also be reached by boat from the Mandraki harbor. |
